Okay…
I have been nominated for the Vincent Ehindero Blogger Award by 3 amazing bloggers and writers. The first one is Petra, she runs an amazing blog where she posts stuff about intriguing facts. Thank you, Petra! Then, by Jirah Merizz of Writings by J.M. She too runs an awesome blog, be sure to check it out! Thank you, Jirah! And then, finally, by Debby Winters of SEO, San Francisco. Be sure to give this amazing lady a follow too! Thank you, Debby.
Now, moving on to the questions! There are many, so I’ve decided to answer a few of them.
Petra’s questions-
1. What gave you the push to start blogging? –My sister did! It’s kind of a really weird story so I think I’ll keep that for some other day.
2. Is blogging a profession or a hobby for you? -It’s definitely a hobby, and I enjoy it a lot!
3. Where do you see yourself in the next five years? – Hmm…A college freshman and a published author. If you’re wondering, I would either go to Med school (That’ll probably change over time coz I am NOT the kind of person who can retain all the medical facts and terms๐) or I would be on my road to becoming a Philosophy Major, or an Egyptologist, or sumn else that comes to my mind in the coming years.ย
4.ย How many friends have you made from blogging? -Oh, many! Literally, many. And they are all amazing people, talking to them is one of my favorite parts of the day.
5. Do you ever regret any of your posts? -Yes, I do regret posting this one-ย
https://theetherealunicorn.wordpress.com/2020/06/08/i-am-here-now-are-youtoo/
But then again, it’s one of my most “liked” post so far.ย
Jirah’s questions:
- What activities inspire you to feel like youโre living your life to the fullest?– Writing. Probably because I pour my heart out on paper, and it both reminds of the stuff that’s going on and provides me with an escape.ย
- Three things that make you happy?ย -Ohhhh! Tough one! There aren’t just 3. Reading, writing, listening to stories, talking to my blogging friends (You know who all I am talking about!), feeling the wave hit my feet etc…. (I think I’ll save some for my Small Joys post)
- How do you think your future self will remember your current self? –If there really will be a future me, then I don’t think she would remember me at all! We change, gradually, and we kinda forget who we used to be, just like I have no idea about my past self. And that’s probably why I write..to remind my future self (If she really would be there) what she used to be like and to tell my past self what she has grown into.ย
- If today was the last day of your life, what would you be proudest of?ย – Hmm…Can it stay hidden?
- If you could teach the entire world just one concept, what would it be?ย – Kindness, I suppose. Oh and not giving up.
- What is something youโd never hesitate to stand up for? – Believing in what you know to be true. Most people think of it as sumn crazy but it’s really not. Believing in something is a trait very few have.
- What is your greatest achievement this quarantine? – Uhh…This blog, I suppose…
- What are some of your focuses or plans for the upcoming month, July 2020? -Lol..July is almost over. But, in July, Phoenix and I launched our Writing Club. And for August, hopefully I will be done with Chapter 1 and 2 of my book. Oh and I also have exams in August.
- If you could describe this year in one word, what would it be? -Can I say two? Messy and productive.
Debby’s questions-
- Have you ever read a book that changed your life? Which ones and how did it affect you? -Yess! There are many. One of them is “Autobiography of Santa Claus”, it’s an amazing book and it taught me the power of believing. the BEST part of the book, for me, is when Santa mentions the following incident. So, an 8 year old girl, named Virginia, wrote to the Editorial team asking them if Santa Claus exists. She wrote-
DEAR EDITOR: I am 8 years old.
Some of my little friends say there is no Santa Claus.
Papa says, โIf you see it in THE SUN itโs so.โ
Please tell me the truth; is there a Santa Claus?VIRGINIA OโHANLON.
115 WEST NINETY-FIFTH STREET.
And the here’s the Editor’s reply-
VIRGINIA, your little friends are wrong. They have been affected by the skepticism of a skeptical age. They do not believe except they see. They think that nothing can be which is not comprehensible by their little minds. All minds, Virginia, whether they be menโs or childrenโs, are little. In this great universe of ours man is a mere insect, an ant, in his intellect, as compared with the boundless world about him, as measured by the intelligence capable of grasping the whole of truth and knowledge.
Yes, VIRGINIA, there is a Santa Claus. He exists as certainly as love and generosity and devotion exist, and you know that they abound and give to your life its highest beauty and joy. Alas! how dreary would be the world if there were no Santa Claus. It would be as dreary as if there were no VIRGINIAS. There would be no childlike faith then, no poetry, no romance to make tolerable this existence. We should have no enjoyment, except in sense and sight. The eternal light with which childhood fills the world would be extinguished.
Not believe in Santa Claus! You might as well not believe in fairies! You might get your papa to hire men to watch in all the chimneys on Christmas Eve to catch Santa Claus, but even if they did not see Santa Claus coming down, what would that prove? Nobody sees Santa Claus, but that is no sign that there is no Santa Claus. The most real things in the world are those that neither children nor men can see. Did you ever see fairies dancing on the lawn? Of course not, but thatโs no proof that they are not there. Nobody can conceive or imagine all the wonders there are unseen and unseeable in the world.
You may tear apart the babyโs rattle and see what makes the noise inside, but there is a veil covering the unseen world which not the strongest man, nor even the united strength of all the strongest men that ever lived, could tear apart. Only faith, fancy, poetry, love, romance, can push aside that curtain and view and picture the supernal beauty and glory beyond. Is it all real? Ah, VIRGINIA, in all this world there is nothing else real and abiding.
No Santa Claus! Thank God! he lives, and he lives forever. A thousand years from now, Virginia, nay, ten times ten thousand years from now, he will continue to make glad the heart of childhood.
Isn’t this amazing?
2. If you could know the absolute and total truth to one question, what question would you ask?
Why does death take away so many from us? It takes and it takes but why?
3. How many friends do you have on Facebook and how many actually mean something to you?
Sorry! I am not old enough to be on Facebook.
4. If you could ask advice from any historical figure, who would it be, and what would you ask them?
Ooooh..I would definitely go back to meet Roald Dahl, or C.S Lewis. I wouldn’t want to ask anything from Roald Dahl. I would just like to spend some time with him…And discuss his books…I just LOVE them!! And if I could meet C.S Lewis, I would ask a ton of questions! Why didn’t he show the proper ending story for Digory Kirke and Polly Plummer? And how do I meet Aslan? Why did he make Susan not believe?
I think I should stop, the list is too long.
Thanks for sticking along till here!! Aaanndd, I just remembered that I forgot to post the rules, but you all already know them, don’t you?
Oh and I nominate everyone!
Mahalo!

Why do you regret posting one of your posts?

Probably because it had my deepest emotions and I am not the kind of person who likes everybody to know what sheโs thinking. I feel I shouldโve shared it with that friend only.
No problem…I donโt mind answering! ๐ค๐ค
